Health Care Aide Position

The Winnipeg Regional Health Authority is seeking a skilled Health Care Aide to join our team. As a Health Care Aide, you will provide direct client care, assisting patients with activities of daily living and promoting independence.
Key Responsibilities- Assist clients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Provide direct client care, including feeding, toileting, and transferring.
- Assist clients with mobility and transfers, using appropriate equipment and techniques.
- Monitor and report changes in client condition, including vital signs and medication administration.
- Assist with client mobility, including walking, transferring, and using mobility aids.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to clients, promoting a sense of well-being and dignity.
- Grade 10 education, Manitoba standards, required.
- Successful completion of a recognized Health Care Aide course required.
- Current Basic Cardiac Life Support Training and/or maintenance of competence may be required.
- Ability to communicate effectively with clients, families, and co-workers.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
The Health Care Aide will work in a variety of settings, including community, healthcare centers, and hospitals. The position involves extensive physical activity, including standing, transferring, and transporting patients and equipment handling between 10-20 kg on a regular basis.
