Job Title: Health Care Aide

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Health Care Aide to join our team at the Winnipeg Regional Health Authority. As a Health Care Aide, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and supporting our interdisciplinary team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist with participant care and provide basic supportive care as directed.
  • Perform all duties in accordance with established health and safety regulations/guidelines, policies, and procedures.
  • Work collaboratively with the interdisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care to patients.
  • Provide emotional support and comfort to patients and their families.
  • Participate in ongoing education and professional development to enhance skills and knowledge.
Requirements:
  • Recent experience as a Health Care Aide is preferred.
  • Experience with older adults is preferred.
  • Successful completion of Grade 12 or equivalent.
  • Health Care Aide Certificate from a recognized educational institution.
  • CPR training requirements for this position shall be in accordance with the Employer policy.
Working Conditions:
  • Involves physical activities such as standing, transferring, and transporting participants and equipment.
  • May encounter aggressive and/or agitated individuals.
  • May encounter exposure to disease, radiation, toxic materials, noise, allergens, etc.
