Job Title: Health Care Aide

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Health Care Aide to join our team at the Winnipeg Regional Health Authority. As a Health Care Aide, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and supporting our healthcare team.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will assist with patient care and provide basic supportive care as directed by the healthcare team. This includes performing tasks such as lifting, transferring, and transporting patients and equipment, as well as providing emotional support and comfort to patients and their families.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist with patient care and provide basic supportive care as directed by the healthcare team
  • Perform tasks such as lifting, transferring, and transporting patients and equipment
  • Provide emotional support and comfort to patients and their families
  • Work collaboratively with the healthcare team to provide high-quality patient care
Requirements:
  • Minimum Grade 10 education, Manitoba standards, required
  • Successful completion of a recognized Health Care Aide course required
  • Excellent command of the English language (both oral and written)
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively
Working Conditions:

This position involves extensive physical activity, including lifting, transferring, and transporting patients and equipment. The successful candidate must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and be able to respond to a variety of simultaneous demands.
