Job Title: Licensed Practical Nurse

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team at Excel Resource Society.

Job Summary:

The Licensed Practical Nurse will provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment, working under the supervision of a registered nurse. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, be able to work independently, and possess a strong commitment to patient-centered care.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct patient care, including administering medications, wound care, and vital sign monitoring.
  • Assist with patient assessments, develop care plans, and implement interventions as needed.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure seamless care transitions and effective communication.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to a culture of safety and excellence.
Requirements:
  • Eligible for licensure as a practical nurse by the province/territory of work.
  • Completion of the Canadian Practical Nurse Registration Examination.
  • CPR Certificate.
  • First Aid Certificate.
  • Criminal record check.
Work Environment:

The Licensed Practical Nurse will work in a school or educational institution setting, providing care to students and staff. The ideal candidate will be able to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritize tasks, and maintain a high level of productivity.
