About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Logistics Coordinator to join our team at Whyte Ave Landscape Supplies Ltd. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth flow of goods and materials into and out of our facility.

Key Responsibilities
  • Determine Shipping Methods: Research and select the most efficient and cost-effective shipping methods for our products.
  • Schedule Distribution: Coordinate with our suppliers and customers to schedule the delivery of goods and materials.
  • Prepare Shipping Documents: Accurately prepare bills of lading, invoices, and other shipping documents to ensure timely and secure delivery.
  • Inspect and Verify Goods: Conduct thorough inspections of incoming goods to ensure they match our orders and are in good condition.
  • Maintain Record-Keeping: Accurately maintain our internal record-keeping system to track inventory, shipments, and customer information.
  • Pack and Load Goods: Safely pack and load goods onto transportation conveyances for delivery to our customers.
  • Supervise Material Handlers: Oversee the work of material handlers and helpers to ensure efficient and safe handling of goods.
  • Process Payments: Accurately process payments for goods and services received from customers.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate is required.
  • Experience: Experience in a logistics or supply chain role is an asset.
  • Work Conditions: Fast-paced environment with attention to detail and ability to handle heavy loads.
  • Personal Suitability: Accurate, flexible, and reliable with initiative.
