Child Development Institute Mental Health Specialist

We are seeking a dedicated Child Development Institute Mental Health Specialist to join our team at CDI. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work with clients from diverse backgrounds and experiences, providing them with the support and tools they need to build life-long skills, positive mental health, and resilience.
About the Role
This is a permanent unionized position under OPSEU, offering a competitive salary of $57,977 per annum. As a Mental Health Specialist, you will be responsible for delivering children's mental health group interventions, including SNAP Boys, SNAP Girls, and SNAP Parents. You will work closely with a Family Worker to oversee the intervention process, liaising with internal and external professionals and community services to ensure effective clinical treatment.
You will also participate in case management activities, attending case review meetings and assisting with development planning, research activities, and ongoing evaluation of services. Additionally, you will maintain agency records, ensuring that client documentation in CYSIS or SNAPiT is up to date.

Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will possess a certificate, diploma, or degree in Child and Youth Work, with experience working with children, youth, families, and groups in a therapeutic or clinical setting. You should demonstrate exceptional organizational, analytical, and decision-making skills, upholding confidentiality and security of client-related and agency information. You will also be comfortable growing into your role, delivering one-on-one, family-based, and group-based therapy sessions, and working up to three evenings a week.
