Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Camp Operations Coordinator at Royal Camp Services Ltd. As a key member of our operations team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day operations of our remote camps.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Front Desk Support: Provide exceptional customer service to clients, respond to inquiries, and maintain a functional front desk.
  • Staff Guidance and Training: Assist in training and guiding staff to ensure they are equipped to perform their duties effectively.
  • Reporting and Record-Keeping: Complete daily camp reports, maintain accurate records, and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Administrative Tasks: Perform various administrative duties, including answering phone calls, handling general inquiries, filing, photocopying, faxing, and electronic ordering.
  • Commissary Support: Assist with cash handling, run the POS machine, order supplies, manage inventory, and maintain retail operations.
  • Housekeeping Support: Conduct walk-downs, track room availability, and assist with room completion as needed.
  • Conflict Resolution: Utilize superior conflict resolution techniques to address issues that may arise among stakeholders.
  • Safety and Training: Participate in toolbox meetings, complete Field Level Hazard Assessments, and Hazard Identifications on a daily basis.

Requirements:

  • Education: Hospitality management degree or diploma preferred.
  • Experience: 3-5 years of hospitality experience in a front desk role an asset.
  • Training and Development: Must complete 1-3 training rotations working under an experienced Camp Manager.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in MS Office and able to learn new databases (Camp Manager, Orissa, and/or Infinity).
  • Physical Demands: Must be able to lift, move, push, pull, and carry up to 25 lbs.
  • Availability: Available to work multiple rotations, including 21-7, 10-4, 9-5, and 14-7.
  • References: Be able to provide at least 2 professional work references.
