Job Title: Assistant Camp Manager

MATRIX Camps and Logistics is a leading provider of camps, logistics, and aviation management services to various clients in the resource and service sectors. We prioritize safety, transparency, and cost-effectiveness in our operations.

We are seeking an experienced Assistant Camp Manager to join our team on a rotational basis for projects across Canada. This role involves working in remote locations, requiring resourcefulness and excellent organizational skills.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Facilitate camp operations, including facilities maintenance and mechanical operations
  • Support the Camp Manager in additional duties outside of the role
  • Participate in daily Toolbox meetings and contribute to team discussions
  • Provide hands-on support to the team and maintain a positive attitude
Requirements:
  • Basic knowledge in Carpentry, Electrical, Plumbing & Mechanical
  • 2 years of experience as an Assistant Camp Manager or Labourer in remote settings
  • Level 1 First Aid Certification or equivalent 2-day course - required
  • PAL license (for wildlife monitoring) - preferred
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs
  • Proficient computer skills, including MS Office programs
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Previous experience working in a remote camp setting
  • Previous experience working with Diesel Generators, off-road vehicles, and chainsaws
  • Familiarity with using a Satellite phone
  • Trades experience is an asset
