About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Bariatric Educator to join our team at LMC Healthcare. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will play a vital role in providing education and support to patients undergoing bariatric surgery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and deliver comprehensive nutrition education programs for patients undergoing bariatric surgery, including pre-operative consultations and ongoing support.
  • Collaborate with patients to set realistic post-operative goals and develop personalized care plans.
  • Provide behavior change counseling and coaching to support patients in achieving their health objectives.
  • Stay current with evidence-based practices and implement new methods of patient assessment and treatment as needed.
  • Participate in group learning opportunities and contribute to the development of educational resources for the bariatric program.
Requirements
  • Valid RD license and good standing with the College of Dietitians of Ontario.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Bariatric or Outpatient Dietitian or 2 years of patient education experience with a focus on weight management counseling.
  • Member of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (desirable).
