About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Bariatric Educator to join our team at LMC Healthcare. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will play a vital role in providing education and support to patients undergoing bariatric surgery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and deliver comprehensive nutrition education programs for patients, including pre-operative consultations and ongoing support.
  • Collaborate with patients to set realistic postoperative goals and develop personalized care plans.
  • Provide behavior change counseling and coaching to support patients in achieving their health objectives.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest evidence-based practices and guidelines in bariatric care.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of educational resources for the bariatric program.
  • Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to ensure seamless patient care.
Requirements
  • Valid RD license and good standing with the College of Dietitians of Ontario.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Bariatric or Outpatient Dietitian or 2 years of patient education experience with a focus on weight management counseling.
  • Member of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (desirable).
