About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Executive Sous Chef to join our culinary team at SORREL RESTAURANT. As a key member of our kitchen team, you will be responsible for overseeing the preparation and presentation of our menu items, ensuring that every dish meets our high standards of quality and presentation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Menu Development: Collaborate with our culinary team to develop new menu items and specials, ensuring that they are creative, delicious, and aligned with our restaurant's brand and style.
  • Kitchen Operations: Supervise and coordinate the activities of our kitchen staff, including cooks, chefs, and other kitchen workers, to ensure that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
  • Training and Development: Provide training and guidance to our kitchen staff on new cooking techniques, equipment, and menu items, ensuring that they have the skills and knowledge needed to excel in their roles.
  • Inventory Management: Requisition food and kitchen supplies, and manage inventory levels to ensure that we have the necessary ingredients and equipment to meet our menu demands.
  • Quality Control: Conduct regular quality control checks to ensure that all menu items meet our high standards of quality and presentation.
  • Team Management: Lead and motivate our kitchen team to achieve our goals and objectives, and foster a positive and productive work environment.
Requirements
  • Education: Other trades certificate or diploma
  • Experience: 3 years to less than 5 years, or equivalent experience
  • Language: English

As an Executive Sous Chef at SORREL RESTAURANT, you will work in a fast-paced kitchen environment, with tight deadlines and high pressure to deliver exceptional results. You will be required to stand for extended periods and handle heavy loads, but you will also have the opportunity to work with a talented and dedicated team to create delicious and memorable dining experiences for our guests.
