About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Electronics Technician to join our team at the Mircom Group of Companies. As an Electronics Technician, you will be responsible for testing and repairing electronic devices and assemblies, as well as providing technical support for our production lines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Test and repair electronic devices and assemblies to ensure high-quality products.
  • Perform light soldering operations, including surface mount repair and asset maintenance.
  • Maintain a high level of workmanship quality throughout the test and repair process.
  • Provide technical support for production lines and assist in training new employees.
  • Lead the testing and troubleshooting of Mircom products using various test equipment.
  • Work collaboratively with production personnel to ensure smooth operations.

Requirements and Skills:

  • Post-secondary education in electronics or a related field.
  • 2-5 years of practical work experience in testing and repairing electronic assemblies.
  • Proven ability to read and understand schematics.
  • Surface Mount soldering skills and basic MS Suite and computer literacy.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills, with the ability to understand both written and verbal instructions.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a diverse team.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and familiarity with Automated Test programs such as JTAG or Labview.
  • Additional experience with test and repair of Mircom, Secutron, or Securiplex fire alarm systems is an asset.
