Employee Relations Coordinator

The Behaviour & Performance Specialist at GardaWorld works collaboratively with staff, supervisors, and managers to ensure compliance with screening requirements and conduct expectations. This role provides administrative support to investigate and address nonconformities to standard operating practices, policies, or procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support operations with performance-related matters, including the management of corrective measures.
- Prepare and lead investigative meetings with management regarding performance, maintaining all records, including a summary and recommended outcome.
- Assist in evaluating employee performances and compliance with key performance indicators, providing recommendations for improvement.
- Support and apply performance improvement initiatives to meet business objectives and ensure contractual obligations.
- Advise employees on policies and procedures, reinforcing compliance.
- Address performance-related queries and concerns in a timely fashion.
- Assess business risks and challenges, developing localized mitigation plans.
- Monitor business performances and generate periodic performance reports for management review.
- Identify knowledge gaps and provide educational training suggestions for professional growth.
- Educate staff on business procedures and risk management policies.
- Analyze root causes of performance issues and suggest corrective actions.
Education:
- Post-secondary education or equivalent work experience.
- Minimum two years of directly related work experience in a fast-paced and dynamic administrative environment, preferably in a unionized environment.
- Education in Human Resource Management or a related field is an asset.
- Skilled in employee benefits administration.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Knowledge of employment and Human Rights legislations.
- Ability to interpret and advise on company procedures.
- High level of self-motivation and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Good working level of proficiency and confidence in using Microsoft Office and other desktop applications.
- Able to demonstrate excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Self-motivated and able to manage own priorities to meet service level agreements.
- Able to evidence experience of attending discipline and fair treatment meetings.
- Ability to work under pressure and retain a clear view within a demanding environment.
- The ability to judge when to escalate a situation - confer with other stakeholders.
- Proficiency with Windows and computers.
- Adept with performance management and investigations.
- Skilled in employee benefits administration.

- Organizing: Can marshal resources (people, funding, material, support) to get things done; can orchestrate multiple activities at once to accomplish a goal; uses resources effectively and efficiently arranges information and files in a useful manner.
Working Conditions:
- Physical requirements include but are not limited to – standing, lifting, sitting for prolonged periods, and extensive use of a computer/electronic device.
- Must be able to lift to 15 pounds at times.
- Ability to mentally focus and concentrate for prolonged periods.
- They analyze information and evaluate results to choose the best solution and solve problems.
- Work with and near others. Will share the same workspace and work with people from varying organizational levels, divisions, departments, and geographical locations.
