About the Role

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Kitchen Helper to join our team at The Birch Kitchen and Bar. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will play a vital role in maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Clean and sanitize all kitchen areas, including work surfaces, cupboards, storage areas, appliances, and equipment.
  • Handle and store cleaning products safely and efficiently.
  • Receive, unpack, and store supplies in refrigerators, freezers, cupboards, and other storage areas.
  • Remove kitchen garbage and trash, ensuring a clean and hygienic environment.
  • Sweep, mop, wash, and polish floors to maintain a high standard of cleanliness.
  • Prepare and cut vegetables and fruit for cooking and presentation.
Requirements
  • No degree, certificate, or diploma is required for this role.
  • Will train on the job, so prior experience is not necessary.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to lift and move heavy objects, if required.
Working Conditions
  • Permanent position with 30-40 hours per week.
  • Work language: English.
