We are seeking a skilled Sushi Chef to join our team at Sushi Harbour. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking high-quality sushi dishes for our customers.
Key Responsibilities- Food Preparation: Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods, adhering to our high standards of quality and presentation.
- Customer Service: Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances, ensuring their safety and satisfaction.
- Kitchen Management: Inspect kitchens and food service areas to maintain a clean and safe environment, and train staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food.
- Leadership: Supervise kitchen staff and helpers, and maintain inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment.
- Cleaning and Maintenance: Clean kitchen and work areas, and manage kitchen operations to ensure efficiency and productivity.
- Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma is required for this role.
- Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a similar role is preferred.
- Work Setting: This role is based in a restaurant environment, with a fast-paced and physically demanding work setting.
- Cuisine Specialties: Japanese cuisine is a key part of this role, with a focus on preparing and cooking high-quality sushi dishes.
- Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: This role requires attention to detail, the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and physical stamina to stand for extended periods.
