Training Performance and Evaluation Specialist

Job Summary:

The Training Performance and Evaluation Specialist is responsible for supporting the measurement and evaluation of CATSA training programs delivered at designated Canadian airports. This includes gathering and analyzing training performance data, writing clear and concise reports, recommendations, and presentations related to the evaluation of training programs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and deploy training effectiveness evaluations;
  • Evaluate formal adult training programs;
  • Analyze data and synthesize information to recommend insightful solutions;
  • Work independently and within a team to achieve goals;
  • Persuade and liaise effectively with stakeholders;
  • Communicate complex concepts clearly to non-technical and business audiences;
  • Apply critical thinking and problem-solving skills to drive results.

Requirements:

  • Graduation from a recognized college or university with a specialization in Instructional Design, Adult Education, or a related field;
  • Minimum of four years of experience designing and deploying training effectiveness evaluations;
  • One to three years of experience evaluating formal adult training programs;
  • Demonstrated experience in training evaluation and analysis;
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel, Word, and PowerPoint;
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance;
  • Be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident.

Preferred Skills:

  • Understanding of Learning Management Systems (LMS);
  • Knowledge and experience using mixed-method approaches to research and evaluation;
  • Knowledge of training evaluation and performance measurements such as the Kirkpatrick Model, Philips ROI Model, and Brinkerhoff model;
  • Knowledge of the ADDIE model.

Work Requirements:

  • Ability to work overtime as required;
  • Ability to travel as required;
  • Language Profile: English Essential.
