Job Title: Mechanical Engineering Lead

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Engineering Lead to join our team at Westpower Equipment Ltd.

Job Summary:

The Mechanical Engineering Lead will be responsible for leading the design, development, and implementation of mechanical systems and equipment. This includes conducting research, designing power plants, machines, and equipment, supervising and inspecting installations, and developing maintenance standards and schedules.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct research into the feasibility, design, operation, and performance of mechanisms, components, and systems.
  • Design power plants, machines, and equipment, and supervise and inspect their installation.
  • Develop maintenance standards, schedules, and programs, and investigate mechanical failures or unexpected maintenance problems.
  • Plan and manage projects, and prepare material, cost, and timing estimates, reports, and design specifications for machinery and systems.
  • Prepare contract documents and evaluate tenders for industrial construction or maintenance, and commission systems and components.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in mechanical engineering, with a focus on design, development, and implementation.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to think critically and creatively.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with tight deadlines and a high level of attention to detail.
