Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Health Care Aide to join our team at WRHA Community Health Services - Access Fort Garry. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, and demonstrate a passion for providing compassionate care to patients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist patients with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
  • Provide emotional support and comfort to patients and their families
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans
  • Conduct routine observations and report any changes or concerns to supervisors
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to enhance clinical skills and knowledge

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Completion of a recognized Health Care Aide program or equivalent experience
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Physical ability to perform duties that may require lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods
  • Current CPR certification and TB testing
