Diagnostic Ultrasound Imaging Specialist

Quinte Health is seeking a highly skilled Diagnostic Medical Sonographer to join our team. As a Diagnostic Ultrasound Imaging Specialist, you will be responsible for performing ultrasound examinations using advanced equipment and techniques to produce high-quality images of the human body.
Job SummaryWe are looking for a detail-oriented individual with strong technical skills and excellent communication abilities to work as part of our interdisciplinary healthcare team. The successful candidate will possess a strong background in diagnostic medical sonography and have experience working in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
About the RoleThe Diagnostic Ultrasound Imaging Specialist will be responsible for:
- Performing ultrasound examinations on patients, including abdomen, obstetrics, gynecology, and vascular studies;
- Operating and maintaining advanced ultrasound equipment to ensure optimal image quality;
- Collaborating with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to interpret examination results and develop treatment plans;
- Providing exceptional patient care and communication throughout the examination process;
- Participating in ongoing education and professional development to stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and techniques.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A degree or diploma in Diagnostic Medical Sonography from an accredited program;
- Registration with the Canadian Society of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (CSDMS);
- Certification by a provincial or territorial association;
- Experience working in a healthcare environment, preferably in a diagnostic imaging department;
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
- Able to work effectively in a team environment;
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills;
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
