About the Role

The Identity and Access Management (IAM) team at Aviva Canada is seeking a Senior Manager to lead the IAM program. As a technical leader, you will be responsible for selecting and implementing cutting-edge IAM capabilities to secure and improve the customer experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a team of IAM senior engineers and technical support specialists to implement the Aviva Canada IAM vision and roadmap.
  • Define solutions realizing IGA, CIAM, and PAM capabilities, develop and evolve solution architectures and designs, and obtain approval at the architecture review board.
  • Propose, evaluate, and recommend solution alternatives that meet business strategy requirements and current state environment constraints.
  • Deliver architectures and designs in agile and iterative waterfall project delivery methodologies and propose improvements to advance solution viability.
  • Support the development of comprehensive IAM strategy roadmaps and represent the architecture renewal and maintenance perspective.
  • Author patterns to drive reuse of IAM solutions across Aviva organization.
  • Drive the technical evaluation of third-party technologies and products.
  • Be an authoritative partner with deep experience in IGA, CIAM, and PAM solution architecture and design best practices.
  • Liaise with cloud, integration, data, application, infrastructure architecture, and development/engineering teams to ensure solution architecture views are defined and elaborated.
  • Ensure IAM solutions meet security and business objectives and outcomes by establishing metrics for improvement.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or computer engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years leadership experience leading and coaching technical teams.
  • Minimum of 8 years' experience in implementing IAM technologies, processes, and capabilities.
  • 3-5 years of hands-on experience in implementation and support of IAM tools, including OKTA Customer Identity Cloud, Sailpoint IdentityNOW, BeyondTrust, and CyberArk.
  • Experience in integrating CIAM, IGA, and PAM tools is required.
  • Deep understanding of CIAM technologies, controls, and standard methodologies.
  • Extensive knowledge and application of IAM capabilities, including authentication, authorization, attribute/policy/role-based access control management, access certifications, PAM secrets management, and more.
  • Working knowledge of fraud detection, identity proofing, and identity verification technologies.
  • Working knowledge of CIAM, IGA, PAM principles in cloud-first environments.
  • Working knowledge of cloud providers such as Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure/Entra, and Google Cloud Platform.
  • Strong verbal and written communication, interpersonal, and collaborative skills.
  • Extensive experience in applying IT risk management practices to assess, measure, and reduce risk related to the IAM domain.
  • Ability to influence technology teams to deliver streamlined customer identity experiences.
  • Proven experience in writing technical documentation.
