Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sales Key Account Specialist to join our team. As a Sales Key Account Specialist, you will be responsible for maximizing Kennametal's market presence in your assigned area. You will actively seek opportunities to turn potential customers into active clients, identify market gaps, and take necessary measures to position our premium products optimally.
Key Responsibilities
- Customer Acquisition and Development
- Actively drive the acquisition and identification of new customers and open up new customer segments with our Kennametal products.
- Lead demanding technical/commercial consultations with customers in close collaboration with customer service, product management, and application engineers to ensure highest customer satisfaction.
- Sales Process Management
- Independently manage the entire sales process from your home office through regular customer visits within your sales territory.
- Confidently lead the preparation of offers and bidding processes, taking on negotiation of awards and contracts until successful completion.
- Market Knowledge and Innovation
- Keep an up-to-date view of the market and act as an idea developer and initiator within the company.
Requirements
- Education and Experience
- Completed vocational training in a metalworking profession with further training as a master craftsman or mechanical engineering technician, or similar qualifications, would be desirable.
- At least 5 years of professional experience and knowledge in cutting metalworking are highly advantageous.
- Skills and Qualifications
- Strong intrinsic motivation and a self-starter mentality.
- Initial relevant sales experience in the B2B sector is required.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes and requirements in mechanical engineering and the automotive industry.
- Proficient in using MS Office products and a CRM system.
- Proficiency in English is a plus.
- Willingness to travel mainly within a day-trip range (80%).
