Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Critical Care Nurse to join our dynamic interdisciplinary team at Southlake Regional Health Centre. As a Critical Care Nurse, you will be responsible for providing direct patient care to patients based on the three-factor framework outlined in the College of Nurses of Ontario standard. You will work collaboratively with members of the healthcare team to provide elements of care for patients/clients with complex health issues.

Responsibilities
  • Provide patient and family focused care within the RN scope of practice, based on the three factor framework of the College of Nurses of Ontario.
  • Function in accordance with established hospital policies and procedures, including emergency codes.
  • Ensure that practice is consistent with entry to practice competencies, standards of practice, guidelines, and legislation.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and all members of the healthcare team.
  • Practice collaboratively with members of the healthcare team to provide elements of care for patients/clients with complex health issues.
Requirements
  • Current RN Certificate of Registration from the College of Nurses of Ontario.
  • Three (3) to five (5) years' recent critical care nursing experience or Critical Care Certificate.
  • ACLS preferred.
  • Demonstrated excellence in communication, both written and verbal.
  • Demonstrated problem assessment skills.
  • Demonstrated commitment to customer service and teamwork.
Salary

$85,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience.
