Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head Bartender to lead our Bartending Team in delivering exceptional service and creating memorable experiences for our guests.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the Bartending Team in maintaining the highest standards of service and quality.
  • Develop and implement innovative beverage menus and promotions.
  • Train and mentor new colleagues to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Manage inventory, maintain a clean and organized workspace, and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Represent the hotel in a professional and courteous manner, ensuring a positive image of the Accor Hotel brand.
  • Collaborate with the Service Bar team to ensure efficient service delivery and maintain a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Participate in local and international mixology contests to stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices.
  • Ensure accurate billing and manage petty cash according to procedures.
  • Report any maintenance needs of the workplace and adjacent areas on a daily basis.
  • Responsible for the rotation of products and necessary ingredients preparation, syrups, and infusion.
  • Embodies the Accor Hotel brand values and maintains a professional and neat appearance at all times.
  • Represents the hotel in appearances on TV and social media when required.
  • Follows all safety and sanitation policies when handling food and beverage.
  • Has full knowledge of beverage lists, promotions, menu items, garnishes, contents, and preparation methods.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 1 year of experience as a Head Bartender in a cocktail lounge/bar or similar experience.
  • Experience crafting custom cocktail lists.
  • Excellent knowledge of alcohol mixology and liquor.
  • Previous point of sale system experience.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Full knowledge of mixology techniques such as shake, hard shake, Cuban roll, etc.
  • Full knowledge of classic cocktails (80 classics cocktails from the International Bar Association).
  • Strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities.
  • Highly responsible and reliable.
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work cohesively with colleagues as part of a team.
  • Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times.
  • Smart Serve Certification required.
  • Passing grade on mixology recruiting exam.
  • Active participation in local and international mixology contests an asset.
