BDC Advisory Services is seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as a Client Partner. In this role, you will be responsible for generating new business and nurturing relationships with existing BDC clients. You will use your strong business development and sales skills to build and nurture your own portfolio of new clients, and apply your business acumen to identify new opportunities and propose advisory solutions to address client needs.

About the Role

As a Client Partner, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to generate impact and support BDC's commitment to making Canadian entrepreneurs the most competitive in the world. You will be responsible for:

  • Establishing relationships with current and prospective customers through digital and in-person techniques
  • Managing business development activities to maintain and nurture a solid pipeline of opportunities
  • Identifying and recommending the right BDC advisory solution
  • Developing a growing role as your client's go-to person for general business advice
  • Managing and maintaining excellent working relationships with internal stakeholders

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • 10+ years of experience in professional consultative B2B business development within the services sector or within a consulting firm
  • Successful experience in dealing with entrepreneurs and C-suite executives who lead fast-growing companies
  • A proven track record of achieving business development objectives
  • A passion for supporting private companies in your local community and helping Canadian entrepreneurs become the most competitive in the world
  • Excellent problem-solving and conflict resolution skills
  • A professional designation and post-secondary degree or diploma
