We are seeking a highly skilled Global Mobility Manager to join our team at EllisDon. As a key member of our People & Culture department, you will be responsible for the entire life cycle of our Canada and US immigration processes.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide Canada and US/International mobility guidance and support, including visa and work permit requirements.
- Support for LMIA's, Canadian Work Permits, and support the US visa process.
- Facilitate the smooth transition of cross-border talent by liaising between the employee and internal key points of contact (HR, Payroll, Operations etc.).
- Develop and implement strategic mobility programs and practices for Canada and US immigration.
- Develop and recommend overall global mobility policies and programs for EllisDon.
- Act as day-to-day contact for and provide technical subject matter expertise in global mobility for the business and local People & Culture representatives.
- Support the execution of global mobility activities for the Domestic and International relocation processes.
- Identify risks and provide input into mitigation and action planning, escalating when necessary.
- Advise employees on international and domestic relocation moves.
- Maintain cross border policies and templates.
- Develop, manage, and maintain key relationships with external and internal stakeholders supporting the relocation process.
- Partner with People & Culture and Operations to support the employee experience through the relocation process.
- University degree/diploma at the Bachelors level or above in a relevant field, or a combination of education and equivalent practical training and experience.
- ~5 + years of applicable previous experience supporting global mobility processes.
- ~ Expert level understanding of Canadian and US immigration policies and procedures.
- ~ Strong understanding of Canadian and US immigration laws.
- ~ French-English bilingualism is a strong asset.
