Position Summary

Homewood Health is seeking a skilled Psychiatrist to join our team at Ravensview, a specialized treatment program delivering evidence-based treatments and superior treatment outcomes. As a Psychiatrist, you will be responsible for the clinical psychiatric care of patients as they engage in their recovery journey.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide clinical psychiatric care to patients, including diagnosis, treatment planning, and monitoring.
  • Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to provide optimal patient care.
  • Complete documentation, including admission history, mental status, diagnostic impression, treatment plan, and weekly progress notes.
  • Utilize electronic medical platforms, such as Caseworks and BDM, to manage patient care.
  • Provide clinical guidance to the program and admitting department for referrals and admissions.
  • Ensure best practice standards of clinical care are implemented and maintained.

Requirements:

  • Specialist certification in Psychiatry from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada or equivalent body.
  • Experience with diagnosis and management of complex psychiatric disorders and comorbid mental health and substance use disorders.
  • Interest in working with complex and comorbid disorders, as well as ongoing learning and teaching to enhance patient care.
  • Previous experience leading teams in an MRP role.
  • Adept at creating an environment that supports team spirit and collaboration.
