Electrical Design Specialist

As a highly motivated and technically competent Electrical Engineer, you will be joining our team at EXP, a leading engineering and architecture firm in Atlantic Canada.
We are seeking a professional with a strong background in electrical design, construction, project and budget management, and proposal preparation.
Key responsibilities will include preparing drawings, specifications, and reports necessary to deliver a project, creating project-specific details to clarify project scope, and preparing calculations to size electrical services.
You will also be responsible for conducting facility condition assessments, feasibility studies, design briefs, and options evaluations, as well as creating design drawings in AutoCAD and REVIT.
Additionally, you will conduct technical code and standard reviews, technical calculations to support building systems designs and reports, and communicate with clients, project stakeholders, and multi-disciplinary team members using Microsoft Teams and other tools.
We are looking for a candidate with a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering and 6+ years of relevant buildings and industrial experience, as well as a solid understanding of electrical design, construction, project and budget management, and proposal preparation.
REVIT/BIM proficiency is considered a strong asset, and experience with energy modeling and energy auditing for energy efficiency, renewable energy, power generation, LEED, and Green Globes is also an asset.
