Job Summary:

This role involves developing and maintaining a responsive and cooperative working relationship with internal and external customers. Key responsibilities include creating test plans, procedures, and reports, reviewing and ensuring test efficiency by validating in hardware, circuit and PCB design and simulation, strong knowledge of design for EMC, EMI, manufacturing, performing environmental, electrical, and EMC validation testing, assisting in root cause analysis for open customer support or other items as assigned, proposing corrective actions for resolutions to manufacturing and quality problems due to processes or equipment, participating in production and/or project meetings offering feedback and guidance, generating engineering and production documentation, conducting test procedures, problem reports, and giving client feedback, maintaining and protecting corporate IP, systems, tools, data, and customer proprietary information, following defined processes and workflows, contributing design suggestions and ideas into the design process, demonstrating competency in the use of lab tools and debug/analysis instruments, applying logical thought and debug approach in trouble-shooting and circuit analysis.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain a responsive and cooperative working relationship with internal and external customers.
  • Create test plans, procedures, and reports.
  • Circuit and PCB design and simulation.
  • Strong knowledge of design for EMC, EMI, manufacturing.
  • Perform environmental, electrical, and EMC validation testing.
  • Assist in root cause analysis for open customer support or other items as assigned.
  • Propose corrective actions for resolutions to manufacturing and quality problems due to processes or equipment.
  • Participate in production and/or project meetings; offering feedback and guidance.
  • Generate engineering and production documentation.
  • Conduct test procedures, problem reports, and give client feedback.
  • Maintain and protect corporate IP, systems, tools, data, and customer proprietary information.
  • Follow defined processes and workflows.
  • Contribute design suggestions and ideas into the design process.
  • Demonstrate competency in the use of lab tools and debug/analysis instruments.
  • Apply logical thought and debug approach in trouble-shooting and circuit analysis.
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need a bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science, and 5-7 years of experience. You must have excellent command of written and spoken English, technical writing skills, high-level general PCB knowledge, excellent knowledge of surface mount, thru-hole assembly and manual soldering processes, including component preparation and selective soldering. A 'can-do' attitude with a desire to be a team player is essential, along with troubleshooting printed circuit board and assembly failures to determine root cause and implement corrective actions using various analytical tools such as 8D, 5Y, PDCA, etc., experience with the design or creation of test fixtures/test jigs, and experience with embedded software/microprocessors.
