About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Product Operations Leader to join our team at Indigo Books & Music. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for leading the execution of activities that support our strategic priorities and the efficient movement of goods throughout their life cycle.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead Execution of Activities: Oversee the execution of activities to support strategic priorities, ensuring the efficient and effective movement of goods throughout their life cycle.
  • Product Flow Processes: Lead the execution of D2F process and visual operations, reacting to sell-through and focusing on the flow of goods to the sales floor and Back of House (BOH) setup.
  • Markdown Process: Lead the execution of markdown process, promotional setup, and sell-through, ensuring optimal product availability and minimizing stockouts.
  • Changeover and Visual Assessment: Lead the execution of changeover and visual assessment action plans, maintaining a visually appealing store environment and ensuring a seamless customer experience.
  • Visual Propping and Signage: Maintain visual propping, signage, and acrylics, ensuring a consistent and engaging store appearance.
  • Customer Advocacy: Act as an advocate for the customer, placing them at the forefront of all decision-making processes and ensuring their needs are met.
  • Technology Adoption: Embrace and champion technology that creates high-tech and high-touch solutions for Indigo's customers, enhancing their shopping experience.
  • Employee Development: Coach and provide feedback to team members to ensure operational excellence and the profitable movement of goods throughout their life cycle.
  • Store Operations: Open and close the store, manage the sales floor, and ensure the health and safety of employees and customers.
Requirements
  • Experience: 1-2 years of experience in a customer service, merchandising, or operations role.
  • Leadership Skills: Demonstrated commitment to creating an exceptional employee and customer experience, with experience leading others.
  • Knowledge: Knowledge of provincial health and safety standards and ability to exercise good business acumen and systemic thinking.
  • Availability: Availability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to lift medium to large items, up to 40 pounds, while using appropriate equipment and safety techniques.
  • Language: Bilingualism (French/English) is required for all positions in Québec.
