Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Technical Animator to join our team at Apex Systems. As a Technical Animator, you will be responsible for collaborating with peers to develop and maintain gameplay animation systems in Unreal Engine 5. Your expertise in animation state machines, behaviors, and runtime solutions will be essential in empowering animators to achieve our animation quality goals while ensuring gameplay responsiveness and behavioral goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with engineers and leads to create animation behavior tools and techniques that allow the building of complex movement systems.
- Problem solve in-game animation implementation issues.
- Support the animation team with technical animation issues.
- Look for opportunities to improve our animation pipeline and provide solutions for technical animation efficiencies and issues.
Requirements:
- 3+ years of experience in AAA video game development, working with real-time animation systems.
- Experience with Unreal Engine is a benefit.
- Real-time engine experience, ideally in Unreal creating animation blueprints.
- Experience with Python is a benefit.
Interview Process:
- HSAs will be scheduled ASAP.
- Professional portfolio needed at submission stage.
