Key Responsibilities:- Animates primary and secondary characters using traditional methods and computer graphics systems.
- Emphasizes conveying emotion through a combination of body language and facial expressions/dialog as required by each specific project.
- Meets schedules and show deadlines, participates in dailies, rounds, and team reviews of work in progress.
- Interacts with production, supervisors, and team/peers to problem-solve and share information related to the show/assigned tasks.
- Deciphers and follows through on shot turnovers, dailies, briefings/notes, and feedback.
- Possesses a strong understanding of the principles of animation.
- Knowledge of applicable software packages, including Maya, is required.
- Background or experience in fine art, which shows a thorough understanding of physical motion, weight, balance, and form, is highly desired.
- Knowledge of human and animal anatomy, as well as life drawing skills, are desirable.
The anticipated base salary for an Associate position is $26.44 to $36.32/hr, and for an Intermediate position is $32.02 to $43.99/hr. Benefits include healthcare, tuition reimbursement, RRSP's, Sick and Vacation leave, and standard increases as applicable.
Please note that you must be able to provide a demo reel that illustrates your relevant artistic and technical experience, including the nuances for this specific role.
