Automation Sales and Technical Support Professional

About the RoleAs an Outside Automation Technical Sales Specialist, based in Sudbury, you will be responsible for representing Rockwell Automation Controllers and HMI, supporting the geographical territory of Northern Ontario. You will report to the Regional Automation Manager and focus on sales performance within the assigned territory.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare and execute an annual strategic business plan for sales development.
- Develop and execute commercial activities as part of an annual strategic business plan.
- Manage an opportunity funnel to achieve sales objectives.
- Support Westburne and Rockwell Automation sales representatives with account planning and execution.
- Act as a pre-sale technical consultant to provide technical solutions to customers.
- Provide post-sale technical support to build customer competency and confidence.
- Conduct technical presentations and product updates.
- Attend supplier partner training (Canada/US) to maintain specialized product and application knowledge.
- Implement strategies to address competition and expand market penetration using available marketing tools.
- An Electrical/Electronic/Automation Technology diploma or degree from a recognized institution.
- A minimum of 2-years of previous experience in automation or technical product sales/support.
- An understanding of sales principles such as Strategic Selling, Customer-Centric Selling, Conceptual Selling, etc.
- A technical understanding of electrical circuits.
- A working knowledge of industrial automation is preferred.
- A product and application knowledge of Rockwell Automation Controllers, HMI's, and software.
- The ability to accurately interpret single-line electrical drawings.
- An understanding of industrial networking and Ethernet I/P.
- A valid driver's license and passport are required.
