Job Summary

This role oversees the entire facility operation, ensuring that Simplot's standards are met. The Plant Manager is accountable for the performance of the entire operation, including management personnel, labor force, cost analysis, budget preparation, raw product selection, and factory supplies control.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure effective communication with support groups to align with corporate, division, and operations goals.
  • Administer and enforce Plant Policies, Procedures, and Union contracts in a fair and consistent manner.
  • Direct the production operation and quality assurance function to ensure food safety, company, and regulatory requirements.
  • Lead the Loss Control program to reduce personal injury accidents and other losses to the Company.
  • Represent the Company professionally and maintain personal appearance standards.
  • Structure the plant organization, select key personnel, and develop and motivate subordinates for short and long-term competent staff performance and management continuity.
  • Negotiate labor contracts and participate in relations activities to maintain a stable and productive workforce.
  • Direct the operation to achieve required volume, grade yield, cost, and quality as set forth in each area by the Division's management direction.
  • Monitor expenses to ensure attainment of budget.
  • Negotiate raw product contracts and direct field activities to obtain needed quantities of suitable raw product at competitive prices.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree (B.A. or B.S.) from a 4-year college or university.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience working in a leadership role at a 24/7 manufacturing plant.

Travel Required: Up to 25%
