Job Summary

This role oversees the effective management of a food manufacturing plant, ensuring seamless production processes, quality control, and adherence to company standards. The successful candidate will direct and control all facility functions, including selecting and training management personnel, conducting cost analysis, preparing budgets, and implementing operational improvements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure alignment with corporate goals through effective communication with support groups.
  • Administer and enforce Plant Policies, Procedures, and Union contracts in a fair and consistent manner.
  • Direct the production operation and quality assurance function to guarantee food safety, company requirements, and regulatory compliance.
  • Lead the Loss Control program to minimize personal injury accidents and other losses.
  • Represent the company professionally, adhering to required appearance standards.
  • Organize the plant structure, select key personnel, and develop subordinate management to ensure competent staff performance and continuity.
  • Direct labor contract negotiations and participate in relations activities to maintain a stable work force.
  • Oversee the facility to meet required volume, grade yield, cost, and quality targets set by the Division.
  • Direct plant accounting and cost control functions, monitoring expenses to achieve budget goals.
  • Participate in raw product contract negotiations and direct field activities to secure quantities of suitable raw materials at competitive prices.

Requirements

Typical Education

  • Bachelor's Degree (B.A. or B.S.) from a four-year college or university.

Relevant Experience

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a leadership role at a 24/7 manufacturing plant.
  • Experience working in a food manufacturing plant is highly preferred.
