Job Title: Tax Director - Financial Services Expert
About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Tax Director to join our team at SS&C Technologies Holdings in Toronto, Front Street. The successful candidate will have a strong background in Canadian tax law and experience working with investment funds.

Compensation Package
The estimated salary for this role is $120,000 - $180,000 per annum, depending on experience. In addition to a competitive salary, we offer a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision coverage, as well as a generous RRSP matching program.
Key Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Reviewing and preparing tax provisions and income allocations for investment funds;
- Reviewing and preparing trust income tax returns and partnership financial returns using tax software;
- Liaising with investment fund managers and audit firms during the audit and review process;
- Advising clients and internal parties on all tax-related matters;
- Assisting and participating in special projects and other duties as necessary;
- Leading in the development and mentorship of junior tax staff;
- Participating fully as a member of the Canadian and U.S. teams and contributing to a positive work environment;
- Staying current on changes to tax legislation and other tax compliance requirements for investment funds.
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- An undergraduate accounting, finance or equivalent degree;
- A professional accounting designation;
- A minimum of 5 years of Canadian tax experience, in the financial services and asset management industry;
- High proficiency with Excel and experience working with tax software;
- Strong analytical skills with ability to work independently, under pressure, and with attention to detail to meet deadlines;
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
