Job Overview

Associate Director, Tax

At SS&C Technologies Holdings, we're seeking a highly skilled Tax Director to join our team. As a key member of our Canadian and U.S. teams, you'll be responsible for reviewing and preparing tax provisions and income allocations for investment funds, including trusts and limited partnerships.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review and prepare tax provisions and income allocations for investment funds, including trusts and limited partnerships
  • Review and prepare trust income tax returns and partnership financial returns using tax software
  • Liaise with investment fund managers and audit firms during the audit and review process
  • Advise clients and internal parties on all tax-related matters
  • Assist and participate in special projects and other duties as necessary
  • Lead in the development and mentorship of junior tax staff
  • Participate fully as a member of the Canadian and U.S. teams and contribute to a positive work environment
  • Stay current on changes to tax legislation and other tax compliance requirements for investment funds

Requirements:

  • Undergraduate accounting, finance, or equivalent degree
  • Must have a professional accounting designation
  • A minimum of 5 years of Canadian tax experience, in the financial services and asset management industry
  • High proficiency with Excel and experience working with tax software
  • Strong analytical skills with ability to work independently, under pressure, and with attention to detail to meet deadlines
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
