Salary and Benefits

As a Patient Care Specialist at St. Mary's General Hospital, you can expect a competitive salary range of $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience. In addition to a comprehensive compensation package, we offer a range of benefits, including health and dental coverage, a defined benefit pension plan, and an employee and family assistance program.

Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Patient Care Specialist to join our team in the Intensive Care Unit. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will provide personalized care to patients, supporting their physical and emotional needs throughout their hospital stay. Your excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment make you an ideal candidate for this role.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Personal Support Worker (PSW) Certificate from a recognized college or school board
  • Current BCLS certification
  • 2-3 years of current experience as a PSW, preferably in a hospital setting
  • Demonstrated ability to work with diverse patient populations and communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams
  • Excellent computer skills and keyboarding abilities
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work flexibly in a dynamic environment
