Senior Portfolio Manager, Fixed Income Markets

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Portfolio Manager to join our Global Markets team at Bank of Montreal. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing portfolio strategies that achieve target risk and return profiles for our Global Markets Investment and Liquidity Portfolio.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and execute trading strategies in various fixed income sectors, taking calculated proprietary risk and making effective trading decisions within the context of the strategic investment plan.
- Manage and optimize a portfolio of fixed income assets, including US Treasuries, fixed income spread products, derivatives, and volatility-based strategies.
- Work closely with all Global Markets teams and other Investment PMs to ensure alignment of macro and idiosyncratic risk globally.
- Collaborate with risk/product control to ensure all investing strategies adhere to defined guidelines.
- Develop and maintain relationships with internal and external clients and partners.
- Minimum of 5-10 years of experience in trading and managing risk within Fixed Income markets, preferably in a proprietary or direct investment decision capacity role.
- Advanced degree or equivalent experience in financial services, accounting, or legal fields.
- Proven track record of developing and executing successful trading strategies.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think conceptually and achieve both short and long-term business results.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- A competitive salary range of $150,000 to $175,000.
