About the Role
We are seeking an Associate Fixed Income Portfolio Manager (Senior Analyst) to join our Global Multi-Asset Strategies (GMAS) team in Toronto. This role represents a unique opportunity to contribute to a team that invests across a broad global mix of equities, bonds, credit, and commodities.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the portfolio management of fixed income assets, including nominal and inflation-linked bonds, and absolute return strategies.
- Develop and maintain a suite of tools for analytics and portfolio management.
- Conduct investment research efforts and generate ideas for portfolio optimization.
- Provide key investment inputs to our strategy and contribute to the growth of our fixed income asset management capabilities.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of relevant fixed income experience.
- Strong academic background in Finance, Statistics, or Economics.
- Highly analytical mindset and a curiosity to learn more about fixed income markets.
- Proficiency in Excel and ability to learn advanced investment software packages.
- Some database management experience.
- Well-organized with excellent attention to detail.
- Self-motivated with a strong drive to learn and deliver positive results.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
