We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Portfolio Manager to join our Global Markets Investment and Liquidity Portfolio team at BMO Financial Group. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing portfolio strategies that achieve target risk and return profiles for our clients.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and execute trading strategies in various fixed income sectors, taking calculated proprietary risk and making effective trading decisions within the context of our strategic investment plan.
- Collaborate with our Global Markets teams and other Investment PMs to ensure alignment of macro and idiosyncratic risk globally.
- Work closely with risk/product control to ensure all investing strategies adhere to defined guidelines.
- Maximize profit while prudently minimizing the bank's exposure for liquidity needs and adhering to regulatory statutes.
- Support the execution of operational/tactical strategies for the trading business to achieve short and long-term objectives in the Canadian and U.S. marketplaces.
- Minimum of 5-10 years of experience in trading and managing risk within Fixed Income markets, preferably in a proprietary or direct investment decision capacity role.
- Advanced degree or equivalent experience in financial services, accounting, or legal fields.
- Must successfully complete external regulatory exams and licenses required to be considered a registered member and senior officer of the firm.
- Strong ability to think conceptually and achieve both short and long-term business results.
- Highly developed written and oral communication skills.
- Personable and able to function in a team environment.
BMO Financial Group offers a competitive salary range of $150,000 to $175,000, as well as a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, tuition reimbursement, accident insurance, and life insurance.
