Job Title: Assistant Professor in Music Education

We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Assistant Professor in Music Education to join our faculty at the University of Saskatchewan. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching undergraduate and graduate level courses in Elementary Music Education and related subjects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Teach undergraduate and graduate level courses in Elementary Music Education and related subjects
  • Develop and implement new undergraduate and/or graduate level courses
  • Conduct research and scholarly work in Music Education
  • Participate in ongoing research, scholarly and artistic work (RSAW)
  • Provide leadership in Elementary Music Education
  • Participate in recruitment and undertake administrative activities and responsibilities corresponding to rank
Qualifications:
  • Doctorate (DMA or in Music Education or a related music field)
  • ABD will be considered with expected completion prior to employment start date
  • School-based teaching experience is required
  • Post-secondary teaching experience will be considered an asset
