Position Overview
The University of Saskatchewan is seeking a highly qualified individual to fill the position of Assistant Professor in Composition/Theory. This tenure-track position is part of the School for the Arts within the College of Arts & Science.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach undergraduate and graduate level courses in composition, theory, and related subject areas.
- Contribute to the development of new undergraduate and/or graduate level courses.
- Participate in ongoing research, scholarly, and artistic work (RSAW).
- Provide leadership in the composition and theory areas, including recruitment and administrative activities.
Qualifications
- Hold a Doctorate (DMA or in composition or theory or a related music field) or a Master's in Composition with a significant and ongoing record of professional success in music composition at the international level.
- Post-secondary teaching experience is considered an asset.
