Job Opportunity: Assistant Professor in Music Education

The University of Saskatchewan is seeking a highly qualified candidate for a tenure-track position as Assistant Professor in Music Education. This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team of music educators and contribute to the growth and development of the School for the Arts.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Teach undergraduate and graduate level courses in Elementary Music Education and related subjects
  • Develop and lead music ensembles, applied teaching, Indigenous music, ethnomusicology, and global/world music courses
  • Conduct research and scholarly work in music education, with opportunities for graduate supervision and course development
  • Participate in departmental and university service, including recruitment, leadership, and administrative activities
Qualifications:
  • Doctorate in Music Education or a related field (ABD considered with expected completion prior to employment start date)
  • Post-secondary teaching experience and school-based teaching experience required
  • Strong research and teaching record, with a commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion
