We are seeking an experienced professional to take on the role of Associate Director - Mass Spectrometry Facility at Mass Plc. The facility is a state-of-the-art mass spectrometry laboratory that provides essential support to the company's protein sequencing services and internal R&D activities.
About the RoleThe Associate Director will work closely with the Director of Laboratory to manage a fleet of mass spectrometry instruments and a team of highly qualified technicians and technologists. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to develop and optimize mass spectrometry methods, collaborate with our interdisciplinary team, and contribute to the development of new products.
Responsibilities- Administer the mass spectrometers and related equipment to ensure smooth operation of the facility.
- Deal with vendors and manage in-house equipment maintenance and repair.
- Support the Director of Laboratory in the daily management of the lab.
- Provide expertise in proteomic mass spectrometry.
- Other duties as assigned.
- At least 5 years of experience in managing a mass spectrometry facility.
- Master's or higher degree (Ph.D. preferred) in proteomics mass spectrometry or related field.
- Able to work onsite.
- May occasionally be required to work outside of the normal 9-5/M-F work schedule.
