About the Role

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Heavy Duty Cleaner to join our team at 1405871 B.C. LTD. As a key member of our facilities maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and organization of our properties.

Key Responsibilities
  • Sweep, mop, scrub and wax hallways, floors and stairs to maintain a clean and safe environment for our employees and visitors.
  • Operate industrial vacuum cleaners to remove scraps, dirt, heavy debris and other refuse from our facilities.
  • Empty trash cans and other waste containers to prevent odors and pests.
  • Wash windows, interior walls and ceilings to maintain a clean and visually appealing environment.
  • Contact contractors for repairs and maintenance of our facilities to ensure they are in good working condition.
  • Perform safety and security checks to identify and address potential hazards.
  • Move heavy furniture, equipment and supplies to maintain a safe and organized workspace.
  • Clean and disinfect bathrooms and fixtures to maintain a clean and hygienic environment.
  • Work with minimal supervision to demonstrate your independence and self-motivation.
  • Clean snow and ice from walkways and parking areas to ensure safe access to our facilities.
Requirements
  • Handling heavy loads is a requirement of this role, as you will be responsible for moving heavy furniture and equipment.
  • Physically demanding work is a key aspect of this role, as you will be required to perform tasks that involve bending, crouching and kneeling.
  • Bending, crouching, kneeling are essential physical abilities for this role, as you will be required to perform tasks that involve these movements.
  • Up to 45 kg (100 lbs) is the maximum weight you will be required to lift or move in this role.
  • Dependability, Flexibility, Initiative, Judgement, Organized and Reliability are essential personal qualities for this role, as you will be working independently and making decisions that impact the cleanliness and organization of our facilities.
  • Work Term: Permanent and Work Language: English are the terms of this role, as you will be working a regular 40-hour week and communicating with colleagues and management in English.
