About the Role

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Heavy Duty Cleaner to join our team at 1405871 B.C. LTD. As a key member of our facilities maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and organization of our properties.

Key Responsibilities
  • Cleaning and Maintenance: Sweep, mop, scrub, and wax hallways, floors, and stairs; operate industrial vacuum cleaners to remove scraps, dirt, heavy debris, and other refuse; empty trash cans and other waste containers; wash windows, interior walls, and ceilings.
  • Task Management: Contact contractors for repairs and maintenance of the establishment; perform safety and security checks; move heavy furniture, equipment, and supplies.
  • Specialized Tasks: Clean and disinfect bathrooms and fixtures; work with minimal supervision; clean snow and ice from walkways and parking areas.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year.
  • Work Setting: Apartment/condominium complex, various locations, commercial building, industrial facility or establishment, shopping centre or mall, recreational facility/institution, health care institution, facility, or clinic, hotel, motel, resort, school or educational institution/establishment.
  • Physical Capabilities: Handling heavy loads, physically demanding, bending, crouching, kneeling.
  • Weight Handling: Up to 45 kg (100 lbs).
  • Personal Suitability: Dependability, flexibility, initiative, judgement, organized, reliability.
Working Conditions
  • Work Term: Permanent.

  • Hours: 40 hours per week.
