Job Title: Heavy Duty Cleaner

We are seeking a reliable and physically capable Heavy Duty Cleaner to join our team at 1405871 B.C. LTD. As a key member of our facilities maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and safety of our properties.

Responsibilities:
  • Sweep, mop, scrub, and wax hallways, floors, and stairs to maintain a clean and safe environment.
  • Operate industrial vacuum cleaners to remove scraps, dirt, heavy debris, and other refuse.
  • Empty trash cans and other waste containers to prevent odors and pests.
  • Wash windows, interior walls, and ceilings to maintain a clean and visually appealing environment.
  • Contact contractors for repairs and maintenance of the establishment to ensure a safe and functional workspace.
  • Perform safety and security checks to identify potential hazards and take corrective action.
  • Move heavy furniture, equipment, and supplies to maintain a safe and efficient workspace.
  • Clean and disinfect bathrooms and fixtures to maintain a clean and hygienic environment.
  • Work with minimal supervision to demonstrate independence and self-motivation.
  • Clean snow and ice from walkways and parking areas to ensure safe access to the property.
Requirements:
  • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a similar role.
  • Ability to lift up to 45 kg (100 lbs) and perform physically demanding tasks.
  • Dependability, flexibility, initiative, judgement, organized, and reliability.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
Work Environment:
  • Apartment/condominium complex, various locations, commercial building, industrial facility or establishment, shopping centre or mall, recreational facility/institution, health care institution, facility or clinic, hotel, motel, resort, and school or educational institution/establishment.
Language:

English is the primary language of communication in this role.

Work Schedule:

40 hours per week, with flexibility to work varying shifts and weekends as required.
