Drill Operator Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Drill Operator to join our team at Hall Constructors. As a Drill Operator, you will be responsible for operating a 3800 top hammer Gardner Denver Air Track drill in various ground conditions, including sandstone, till, and pit run.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Adhere to Hall's health and safety program and guidelines
  • Maintenance of drill (greasing etc.)
  • Pre-inspection checklist
Requirements:
  • Experience operating a 3800 top hammer Gardner Denver Air Track drill
  • Drilling experience in all kinds of ground conditions
  • Experience drilling with hollow core anchors (IBO)
  • Strong work ethic and ability to work in a positive team environment
  • Ability to work independently
Technical Skills:
  • Operational experience with a shotcrete pump
  • Drilling experience operating a 3800 Gardner Denver air track
  • Grouting experience
  • Thorough understanding of shoring & site drawings
Interpersonal Skills:
  • Great attitude towards safety
  • Strong organizational skills and problem-solving skills
  • Proven leadership skills
