Director, Cybersecurity Leader

At Wave HQ, we're seeking a seasoned cybersecurity professional to lead our security-first culture and drive the development of a comprehensive security management program. As the Director, Cybersecurity Leader, you'll be responsible for overseeing the creation, administration, and oversight of enterprise-wide information security activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a security-first culture that ensures development teams operate with speed and agility while maintaining a strong security posture.
  • Build and maintain a security management program that governs the creation, administration, and oversight of enterprise-wide information security activities.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure security is a primary focus across all of Wave HQ, including education and awareness.
  • Develop and refine security team roles and guidelines, including career development paths.
  • Define and improve the security incident management process.
  • Proactively identify gaps in Wave HQ's security posture and develop solutions and standards to address potential threats.
  • Perform security reviews for new technologies and vendor risk assessments to enable the business to make informed decisions.
  • Conduct threat and risk analysis of our cloud-based systems, applications, and supply chains.
  • Investigate and triage security incidents and conduct technical and forensic evidence gathering.
  • Drive compliance activities, including regular reviews and audits.
  • Coach and grow a team of Security Engineers.

Requirements:

  • 7+ years of progressive experience in designing and implementing an enterprise information security strategy and program.
  • 5+ years of related experience in a leadership role in a Cloud/SaaS Infrastructure environment.
  • Previous experience managing a team or acting as a team lead responsible for a technical team.
  • Demonstrated information security experience across multiple disciplines (ops, engineering, incident response, application security, etc).
  • Experience implementing regulatory frameworks such as SOC, PCI, HIPAA, SOX, PIPEDA.
  • Competent with a common scripting language (Python).
  • Ideal candidate has experience working with SaaS and/or FinTech organizations.
