About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Database Officer to join our team at the Government of Canada - Central.

The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities
  • Staffing and Recruitment: Identify current and prospective staffing requirements, prepare and post notices and advertisements, collect and screen applicants, and advise job applicants on employment requirements and terms and conditions of employment.
  • Candidate Evaluation: Co-ordinate and participate in selection and examination boards to evaluate candidates, notify applicants of results of selection process, and prepare job offers.
  • Personnel Administration: Organize staff consultation and grievance procedures, negotiate settlements of appeals and disputes, and co-ordinate termination of employment process.
  • Training and Development: Determine eligibility to entitlements and arrange staff training, supervise personnel clerks performing filing, typing, and record-keeping duties.
Requirements
  • Education: College/CEGEP diploma or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in human resources administration or a related field.
  • Skills: Excellent oral and written communication skills, ability to work effectively in a team environment, proficiency in database software, human resources software, MS Excel, MS Outlook, MS PowerPoint, and MS Word.

Estimated Salary: $45,000 - $60,000 per year.
